The mobility of researchers is an important condition for the exchange of knowledge and innovative research. Because of this, KU Leuven supports the incoming mobility of academics from established and future partners in the South, to work on topics related to global development. Grants can be awarded for the following activities:
- Take part in a prospective discussion or prepare a new academic or research cooperation with KU Leuven
- Follow up a new or an existing cooperation project with KU Leuven
- Do (short-term) joint research at KU Leuven
- Give guidance to a PhD student of KU Leuven, for instance as a member of a PhD examination committee
- Give guest lectures at KU Leuven
- Attend seminars, conferences and other academic activities at KU Leuven
Benefit:
- A return flight ticket in economy class (based on invoice)
- Visa costs and other travel-related expenses (based on invoice)
- Accommodation (based on invoice) with an indicative maximum of € 100 per night
- A per diem of € 75 per night (for a maximum stay of 5 days, or longer in case of co-financing with the inviting faculty)
Requirement:
- Candidates should be appointed professors and postdoctoral researchers from one of the following countries (Include Indonesia)
- Candidates should be provided with an invitation from a KU Leuven professor (ZAP).
Output At the end of the research stay and before leaving KU Leuven, the visiting scholar should report on his stay via the online reporting tool.
