Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) - Language and Culture Program for Indonesia Student 2020, Taiwan

 

To encourage international students (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao SAR students are not eligible) to undertake Huayu courses in the Republic of China (Taiwan); in order to provide them with opportunities to increase their understanding of Taiwanese culture and society, and to promote mutual understanding and interactions between Taiwan and the international community.

Benefit:
A Monthly stipend of 25,000 NTD. with no other stipend.

Requirement:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Aged 18 years or more, high school graduates or above, have good academic performance in education and have good moral character.
• Not a Taiwanese or overseas Chinese citizen.
• At present it is not registered as a student at a Mandarin learning center, and has never been a student at a university or college in Taiwan.
• Never received an award either based on this scholarship program or the Taiwan scholarship program.
• When receiving an HES scholarship, the applicant is not currently registered as a student exchange program student according to a cooperation agreement between an international university / college and an educational institution in Taiwan.
• Not currently receiving scholarships or other subsidies provided by the Taiwan Government or other educational institutions in Taiwan.

 Document Required:

• Registration Form (HERE)
• Photocopy of Passport and Family Card.
• Photocopy of Final Diploma and Value Transcript.
• Photocopy of registration form from one of the Huayu Enrichment Training Centers.
  (form used when registering for a language center)
• Two letters of recommendation that have been signed and tightly closed in an envelope.
• (Letters of recommendation in the form of e-mail or photocopies do not apply, can be from anyone, for example: the principal, dean, lecturer or supervisor)
