The UNILEAD programme (University Leadership and Management Training Programme) is a Blended-Learning programme for young University Leaders within the field of Higher Education Management.
The programme, offered by the University of Oldenburg in Germany, focuses on Project Management, Financing and Investment, and Management of Human Resource as well as the development and implementation of individual and innovative projects. The programme is directed at young university leaders in South East Asia, South and East Africa, South and Central America, and the Middle East.

Funding During the contact phasesthe participants will be guests of the University of Oldenburg. Following expenses will be covered:
- Course costsUNILEAD approx. 5.500 €.
- Travel costs: Flightsto and from Germany (Economy class) and ground travel to and from Oldenburg(2. Class train).We kindly ask the participants to make their own travel arrangements–they will then be reimbursed in cash upon arrival in Oldenburg.
- Accommodation (including breakfast) and some joint mealsat the two contact phases in Germany.
- Emergency health insurance during the contact phases.

Participants' prOfile
- Participants are young university leaders aged between 30 and 40 years and hold at least a Master’s degree.
- They have been holding a university management position with managerial and personnel responsibilities for at least two years in one of the following fields:
- Managers of central university departments (Planning, Evaluation, Financing, Human Resources, Continuing Education, International Offices, Technology Transfer etc.).
- Task force managers for university reform projects.
- Managers of staff development units or programmes.
- At universities in
- South East Asia (Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam).
- Sub-Saharan Africa (Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda).
- Latin America (Bolivia, Central America, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru).
- Middle East (Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Yemen).
