1. Graduate Research Assistantship (All nationalities)

Research Assistantships are granted to Graduate Students to work on research projects under the supervision of faculty members.
To be eligible for a Research Assistantship, a candidate must first apply to and be accepted in a Master or Doctorate program at UAEU.

Benefits:

Monthly stipend. The amount depends on the research grant budget.

Up to 2 years for Master Students (depending on research grant duration).
Up to 4 years for Doctorate Students (depending on research grant duration).

Requirement:

You need to be an active graduate student at UAEU.
You need to have Good Academic Standing (GPA 3.0/4.0).
Have no other financial sponsorship.

2. PhD Scholarship (All Nationalities)
The purpose of the “PhD Scholarship” is to recruit high achieving graduate students in certain majors at UAEU and provide them with full and continuous financial support to pursue their graduate studies at UAEU.

Benefits:

Full tuition waiver.
Monthly Stipend.
Health insurance (if needed).
Extra Bonus:

Up to AED 3,000 from supervisor’s external research project, or.
Up to AED 2,000 from supervisor’s internal research project.

Requirement:

Have a GPA ≥ 3.5/4.0 in Master degree.
Have no employment or other financial sponsorship.
Have dissertation in one of the UAE priority sectors (Renewable Energy, Transportation, Education, Health, Water, Technology, Space).

Duration:
4 years

Duties and Expectations:

Maintain GPA ≥ 3.3 at the PhD level.
Be enrolled full-time (min. of 9 credits/semester) at the PhD level.
Be available at UAEU full-time.
Commit to a minimum of 40 hours/week on courses and/or research project.

3. PhD Fellowship (All Nationalities)
The purpose of the “PhD Fellowship” is to recruit high achieving graduate students in certain majors at UAEU and provide them with full and continuous financial support to pursue their graduate studies at UAEU.

Monthly Stipend.
Health insurance (if needed).
Extra Bonus:

Up to AED 3,000 from supervisor’s external research project, or
Up to AED 2,000 from supervisor’s internal research project.

Basic Package:

Full tuition waiver.
Health insurance (if needed).
Additional work (optional) as Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) or Graduate Administrative Assistant (GAA) up to 20 hours per week upon availability by the College or College of Graduate Studies (up to AED 4,000).
Extra Bonus:

Up to AED 3,000 from supervisor’s external research project, or.
Up to AED 2,000 from supervisor’s internal research project.

4. PhD Tuition Payer (All Nationalities)
The purpose of the “PhD Tuition Payer” option is to recruit high achieving graduate students who are employed and wish to pursue their graduate studies at UAEU on part-time basis.

Benefits:

Optional work as Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) or Graduate Administrative Assistant (GAA) up to 10 hours per week upon availability by College or College of Graduate Studies (up to AED 2,000).
Extra Bonus:

Up to AED 3,000 from supervisor’s external research project, or.
Up to AED 2,000 from supervisor’s internal research project.

Requirement:

Have a GPA ≥ 3.0/4.0 in Master degree.
Pay the tuition fees of the PhD program.
Prefer to have dissertation in one of the UAE priority sectors (Renewable Energy, Transportation, Education, Health, Water, Technology, Space).
