[Master and PhD Degree] Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc. Asia Research Fellow Scholarship at Asia Pacific University, Japan

This scholarship is awarded to privately-financed students from Asia to cultivate students who will contribute to the development of the Asia region and further the relationships between Japan and Asian countries.

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must first apply to APU. APU will then select eligible candidates to recommend to the scholarship organization. 

Benefit:100,000 JPY per month for living expenses (amount subject to change)

Requirements:
  • Be able to complete application forms and attend an interview in Japanese
  • Be a national of one of the 10 ASEAN countries or India
  • Intend to enroll at APU in April 2020
  • Have student as their status of residence (visa status) while studying in Japan
  • Be 35 years old or less as of April 1, 2020
  • Have an interest in the think tank or consulting industries
  • Be able to participate in an internship program provided by Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc. Note:
Recipients of this scholarship cannot receive a scholarship from another scholarship organization while studying at APU.

How to Apply:
  • Request to be considered for this scholarship within the APU online application and submit the application by September 24, 2019. In addition to the online application, applicants must submit the following documents to APU by post by September 24, 2019: 　　　
    • a. Asia Research Fellow Scholarship application form (available on the APU admissions website) 　　　
    • b. University graduation certificate (original or certified copy) 　　　
  • APU will reviews application documents and selects suitable candidates to be recommended for this scholarship. APU may request that the applicant attend an online interview in Japanese.
  • Applicants selected to be recommended for this scholarship are notified with their final APU application results
  • Applicants attend an interview at the date and time designated by Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc.
  • The final scholarship award results are decided by Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc.
