The 17th Economix: Global Economic Challenges promotes “Inequality in the Modern Era: An Unresolved Question” as this year competition’s grand theme. The competition will provide its participants the chance to test their brilliant ideas, gain new insights, and enhance their personal skills on pressing issues related to our grand theme. As the main competition, participants will be challenged to create a research paper and present it in front of experts. In doing so, participants will have to analyze three main subthemes centered around the issues surrounding gender inequality, the digital divide, and political instability and populism as a result of inequality.
Aside from Paper Competition, 17th Economix: Global Economic Challenges conducts an Essay Competition. This year’s theme is ‘Inequality in the Modern Era: An Unresolved Question’. Participants’ ideas and knowledge will heavily be observed concerning world’s ability in maintaining its economic performances in the moment of not only incessant global economic problems but also many fundamental obstacles which have internally occurred in every country over the world.

The winners of the Essay Competition are entitled to these prizes:
- 1st winner: US$ 1000
- 2nd winner: US$ 600
- 3rd winner: US$ 400
An additional prize of e-certificates will also be given for the best essay from each region: Asia, America, Australia and Oceania, Africa and Europe.
Requirement:
- The competition is open to all undergraduate students enrolled in any recognized college or university from all over the world.
- Only entries by one single individual will be accepted for the essay submission.
- Each participant can only submit one essay addressing the theme of the Essay Competition of the 17th Economix.
- The essay must be written in formal academic English.
- The essay must be an original scientific essay that has never been used in any other competition and/or published before.
- The essay must not contain any information about the institutional origin of the writers. The cover format must follow the sample format provided by the committee that can be checked in www.economix-febui.com.
- Entrants will be required to give their date of birth, the name of their university/college, email address, postal address and telephone number, a photo, and enrollment letter or student ID card as part of the online entry procedure.
