[Master and PhD Degree] Eastern Indonesia Scholarship by LPDP (for Indonesian) 2020 (Fully Funded)

East Indonesia Scholarship is an affirmation scholarship program for master and doctoral programs specifically given to Indigenous Peoples from the Target Province;
The Target Provinces are Maluku, North Maluku, Papua, West Papua or East Nusa Tenggara Provinces;
Indigenous Peoples are residents who are indigenous to the Special Target Province of Papua or West Papua and are still living / living; who have lived for at least 20 years and are still living / living in the Target Province.

General Requirements:

  • Indonesian citizens;
  • Indigenous People, as evidenced by:
    • Certificate from Head of Tribe / Customary Institution / Authorized Institution for Registrants who are indigenous to the Papua or West Papua Provinces;
    • Certificates from the district government or the City stating that they have settled for at least 20 years in Maluku, North Maluku or East Nusa Tenggara Provinces.
  • Having work experience, leadership history, and / or contributions to the community;
  • Get recommendations from leaders for those who are working or leaders / experts in their fields, choosing study programs and destination universities in accordance with LPDP provisions;
  • Writing essays in accordance with LPDP provisions;
  • Attach a diploma, transcript, and official document of mastery of English that is still valid or another foreign language specified by LPDP;
  • Attach a Health Certificate from the health service unit stating that the Registrant is free from TB and drugs;
  • Sign a statement stating that the Registrant is committed to:
    • Faithful to the State of the Republic of Indonesia and the 1945 Constitution;
    • Do not drink liquor, play gambling, and use drugs and are not involved in drug trafficking as long as they are candidates for Scholarship Recipients and Scholarship Recipients;
    • Maintaining the unity of the Republic of Indonesia;
    • Work in your area of ​​origin after completing your studies;
    • Never / will be involved in activities / actions that violate the law;
    • Never / will be involved in activities / actions that violate the academic code of ethics;
    • Establish communication with LPDP and maintain the good name of the Indonesian nation both during study and post study;
    • Contributing in providing solutions to national and international problems;
    • Deliver data and documents that are correct and in accordance with original documents;
    • Do not have physical or spiritual disorders that can hinder the completion of studies;
    • Able to fulfill the scholarship provisions set by LPDP;
    • Not receiving / will receive funding / scholarships from other sources; and
    • Willing to accept sanctions if you cannot meet the minimum criteria of the study results or violate the academic code of ethics according to the provisions. 

Specific requirements for Masters program applicants are as follows:
  • Has completed an undergraduate or applied undergraduate study program;
  • Maximum age 40 (forty) years on December 31 in the year of registration;
  • Have a Grade Point Average (GPA) from the previous level of study of at least 2.75 on a scale of 4 or equivalent.
  • Have an official English proficiency certificate with the following conditions:
    • Registrants of domestic master programs have a minimum English proficiency score, ITP® TOEFL score of at least 400, iBT TOEFL score of at least 33, or IELTS score of at least 4.5.
    • Overseas Masters applicants score a minimum of English language proficiency, at least 450 TOEFL scores, a TOEFL iBT score of at least 45, or an IELTS score of at least 5.0.
  • Able to complete a master's program study no later than 24 (twenty four) months.
  • Write Statement of Purpose at most 1,000 words that explain the planned contribution that has been, is being and will be done for the community, institution, institution, profession, or community.

Specific requirements for doctoral program applicants are as follows:
  • Has completed a master's program study;
  • Maximum age of 45 (forty five) years on December 31 in the year of registration;
  • Have a Grade Point Average (GPA) from the previous level of study of at least 3.00 on a scale of 4 or equivalent.
  • Have an official English proficiency certificate with the following conditions:
    • Domestic doctoral program applicants have a minimum English proficiency score, at least 400 ITE® TOEFL scores, at least 33 TOEFL scores, or at least 4.5 IELTS scores.
    • Overseas doctoral program applicants score a minimum of English language skills, ITP® TOEFL score of at least 450, TOEFL iBT score of at least 45, or IELTS score of at least 5.0.
  • able to complete doctoral program studies for a maximum of 48 (forty eight) months.
  • attach a summary of the research proposal.
  • write Statement of Purpose at most 1,000 words that describe the planned contribution that has been, is being and will be done for the community, institution, institution, profession, or community.

How to Apply:Registration is done online by filling out the registration form and uploading all the required documents on the LPDP registration page or can involve the Goal Provincial government.
