Fulbright Scholarships Program in USA for UAE Nationals, 2020-22 (Fully Funded)

The Fulbright Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, is the flagship international educational exchange program designed to foster mutual understanding among nations through educational and cultural exchange. AMIDEAST administers the Fulbright Foreign Student Program for the Middle East and North Africa on behalf of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. This highly prestigious scholarship program up to two-year fellowship, which provides full funding for up to two academic years to achieve a Master’s graduate degree at a U.S. university.

The prestigious scholarships are awarded to applicants who demonstrate academic excellence, strong English language skills, leadership qualities, and a commitment to improving cross-cultural relations through international exchange. Applicants must also express a desire to use skills gained in the USA to serve the UAE upon completion of their studies.

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program provides Emirati students and young professionals the opportunity to pursue graduate-level study in the U.S. The award includes funding for tuition and required fees; a book, equipment, and travel allowance; a monthly stipend for room & board; and also a supplemental health and accident coverage plan. All disciplines and fields of study are available to Emirati students. Please note that clinical studies are not permissible under this program.

In addition to academic training, Fulbright scholarships also provide transformative cultural exchange experiences. As Fulbright participants, Emirati students will have the unique opportunity to experience life in the United States and also share Emirati students’ unique culture and traditions with Americans. This academic exchange program is funded by the U.S. Department of State and was initiated by U.S. Senator William J. Fulbright in 1946 to increase international educational exchange between Americans and citizens of more than 150 countries worldwide.

Program participants will be selected through a merit-based, open competition in which leadership potential, academic excellence and ability to adjust to life in the U.S. are all considered.
