Following the success of our previous courses, Australia Awards in Indonesia invites tourism professionals from 12 provinces including South Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Maluku, North Maluku, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, Papua, and West Papua to join the 2019 Sustainable Tourism Development short course. Tourism professionals from outside the targeted provinces with strong interest and relevance to this program are also welcome to apply.

Requirement:
- Become a member of a regional or district tourism association; or owner / employee of a tourism operator (eg travel agents, hotels, tourism transportation companies); or representatives of relevant programs funded by the Australian government, or Indonesian government officials working in the tourism sector;
- Minimum Echelon IV for participants from the central ministry;
- Having experience in the tourism sector for approximately 3-5 years;
- Have a recommendation letter from your boss or tourism association and service;
- Having a commitment to implement an award project as part of participation in this program;
- Commit to being actively involved and fostering a multi-stakeholder network;
- Committed to disseminating learning from this program to coworkers;
- Have sustainable tourism development projects that are in the targeted provinces;
- Participants must choose one of the themes / topics of the Award project (Return to Work Project):
- Tourism / Government Destination Management;
- Optimization / strengthening / Economic development for local communities;
- Optimization / strengthening / Economic development for local communities;
- Environmental Conservation

- Letter of recommendation from superiors / associations and tourism services
- Proof of English language proficiency (eg overseas diploma, training certificate, IELTS TOEFL, etc.)
