The A*STAR Undergraduate Scholarship (AUS) enables budding local scientists and engineers with a keen interest in research to pursue their passion in science or engineering at the National University of Singapore including the Yale-NUS College, the Nanyang Technological University, the Singapore University of Technology and Design and the Singapore Management University (School of Information Systems).
Scholars can look forward to joining our community of diverse and renowned scientists and researchers when they participate in research attachments at any of our state-of-the-art A*STAR Research Institutes.

Benefit:
Successful applicants will be provided with financial support* for the duration of their undergraduate studies covering:
- Tuition fees
- Hostel Fees
- Monthly allowance
- Research attachment opportunities at A*STAR Research Institutes
- One overseas exchange programme during the undergraduate studies (up to 6 months)
Mid-term AUS awardees will be offered the same terms of support as the direct AUS scholars from the point of the award, without retrospective payment.
Continuation of the AUS is subject to scholars maintaining good academic standing.

Requirement:
- Be Singaporean. Applicants of other nationalities must intend to take up Singapore citizenship
- Have achieved excellent academic standing in the GCE 'A' Levels (preferably with 11 AUs), polytechnic diploma (preferably with Merit) or equivalent qualifications (e.g. International Baccalaureate or NUS High School diploma
- Applicants should have a keen interest in Science and research. Preference will be given to candidates with experience and notable achievements in science- or math-related projects and activities
- Male scholars are required to serve National Service prior to commencement of undergraduate studies
- Applicants are encouraged to sit for the SAT tests to broaden their choices of institutions for their undergraduate education. Although A*STAR does not mandate a minimum SAT score as a qualifying condition for the undergraduate scholarships awarded for studies, applicants are encouraged to submit their SAT scores, if available, to be included in the overall assessment of their applications

- Have completed at least 2 terms of studies with graded results
- Have obtained a term CAP/GPA and CAP/cumulative GPA of at least 4.50 in the latest academic term/year
