Queen Margaret University (formerly Queen Margaret University College and Queen Margaret College) is a public university located in Musselburgh, East Lothian, Scotland. It is named after Saint Margaret, wife of King Malcolm III of Scotland. Its predecessor, Queen Margaret University College, was awarded full university status becoming Queen Margaret University in January 2007.

1. QMU International Scholarship
Queen Margaret University (QMU) International Scholarships in UK, 2019
is offered for Bachelors, Masters degree in the field of Courses offered
by the university. The deadline for the sending your application is 31
Mar 2019. This scholarship is provided by Queen Margaret University and
the value of this scholarship is Partial Funding, £3000 . This
scholarship is open for: Open to students outside EU/EEA countries.
Queen Margaret University and Santander are offering QMU International Scholarships for students who wish to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
Requirement:
- Open for International students i.e. all nationals except UK/EU.
- Applied for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate program at the University.
- Commencing their degree in September 2019.
Benefit:
- The competitive scholarships of £3,000 are for new international students undertaking their first year of study on an undergraduate or postgraduate taught degree.
- The scholarship is granted as a reduction of the tuition fee and is available to students who are self-funding with an international tuition fee of more than £9,000 for a single year of study only.
- Supporting statement must also include the achievements of the candidates and description of how the scholarship will impact them.
How To Apply:
To apply for a QMU scholarship you must complete the attached application form. In particular you should complete a supporting statement of between 500 and 1000 words. You should include in this statement
- Your reasons for choosing your degree programme AND how this particular course would be of benefit to you in your future career
- Information on any noteworthy academic or professional achievements to-date
- A description of the positive financial impact that the Scholarship would have on you (e.g. you may wish to provide information on your typical income and any financial commitments that you have)
- any other matter which you may consider to be relevant to your application
NO additional documentation (e.g. CV’s, reference or statements) will be considered and should not be sent. Your university application form will not be used as part of the decision making process. The statement will be assessed by a panel and applicants will be notified of a decision by within 6 weeks of the specified closing date.

Queen Margaret University has limited number of Santander scholarships available, up to the value of £5,000.
Please note that if you have already applied for a QMU scholarship, we will also consider you for a Santander scholarship and vice versa - there is no need to re-apply or to apply for both.
